per-release changelogs are limited to 500 chars, and are truncated at exactly that position, even mid-word. So please keep them within this limit, for future releases 😉 Thanks!

Yupp, totally fine, thanks! (you could skip the "Date" line at the beginning, though. Doesn't hurt – but the changelog is bould to a specific release (and only shown for that), so I don't think the date is especially useful. But YMMV, this is just my personal opinion).

Oh, ah, I just kept using that format in the CHANGELOG.md files, so I copy from there.
If it doesn't do any harm, then I think it's fine to keep doing it. I mean, someday it might be useful to know which day which version was released 🤷🏻.
