Blendkit install silently fails on Windows 11: Package was expected to be installed but not found: blenderkit

Bug Description

When I...
Try to add Blendkit, I get "Package was expected to be installed but not found: blenderkit"

Environment Information - Bug happens on:

• Blendkit version: v3.21.0
• Blender 5.1.2 from: blender.org
• Operating system & architecture: Win11 x86_64
• Not using a VPN, proxy, or firewall

Hello @BiZarr3-Gambl3r, thank you for the report. I've been finally able to reproduce your problem on my secondary windows machine. I cannot reproduce on the MacOS. After some researching this seems as a problem coming from the Blender itself - I have been able to reproduce the problem with several most popular add-ons from the Blender extensions platform.

I will try to find a workaround until the problem is fixed in Blender.

As a workaround for the manual installation process you can:

1. unarchive the installation .zip
2. open the directory blenderkit-v3.21.0.260628, it should contain directory blenderkit
3. copy directory blenderkit (you can check that this directory contains all the python files and some other subdirectories)
4. place the directory into C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\5.1\extensions\user_default
5. restart Blender, enable add-on.

If you are using different Blender version, then update the path accordingly: Blender Foundation\Blender\5.2\extensions etc.
