Recently installed 35002 Deployers and Nodebreakers are not planting or picking crops

35002 Deployers and Nodebreakers are not planting or picking crops. I am playing local, solo and even when started and setup with full rights, these two devices are not functioning. The Nodebreakers will not even pick moss or algae even with a drill in the Nodebreaker. This is on Luanti 5.15.0.

Actually, I'm a little confused. What does 35002 relate to? I've been messing around with orientations, so if you're playing from a recent unreleased commit, that might be why. I need to test more thorougly regardless. Checking now.

Not able to replicate the problem on my recent changes. Tested with one node breaker and one deployer, and it works as expected. Trying now on release version 41.

@InfiniteOtter, did you mean you placed down 35,002 of these things? If so, I am just impressed.

Unable to replicate on Release 41 either.

Troubleshooting Questions:

1. Were the deployers and breakers placed down prior to updating?
2. Are they oriented correctly (big gray face toward the plant, hole in back)?
3. Do they have enough power supplied to them?

do you have protectors

if so, then node breakers/deployers with protectors are broken in the latest release, you will probably have to break your protector

that will be fixed in the next release (i have already fixed that in my fork), but those node breakers you placed will still have that issue, so you will need to replace them, sorry

oh, we don't really use/think about that number in game.conf

Yes big hole facing but to test I powered a deployer from the side with dirt and with fertilized_dirt to test. It is protected cause asteroids can destroy a lot of work quickly.
I used the built in download system to install the game. I was testing the Skyblock One mod and intially thought it was causing the issue. I disabled the mod and it still happened so a made a new instance and started clean without enabling the mod and to save time did a "/grantme all" so I could test it quickly. same issue happened.

I will run the portable version of the latest luanti to test in isolation and load just the game to test it real quick. 5.15.1 I am setting it up now.

It is working on a fresh luanti5.15.1 with a fresh download. Now I load the Skyblock One mod and see if that breaks it. :) I will enable all of the mod except the tree rot. :)

Installed the Skyblock One mod. Disabled Tree Rot. It gave an error so I uninstalled the Tinker part that was mentioned in the error. Tested and everything works. So on the very latest, portable version of luanti, and a fresh version of the Skyzero game, the problem is solved. I should have done this test before I submitted the bug.

yep with area protection it does not work. So yes protection is the issue. so if I build an enclosure that is protected around an unprotected area, I can grow plants. :)

ok, i fixed this in my fork earlier, i don't have my laptop with me so i can't continue working on that fork
