Periodic synchronization of local .ics files

I use Syncthing to synchronize my ICS calendar between other files. When exporting changes made using Fossify Calendar and the file has been synchronized, GNOME Calendar (the app I use on my PC) can see these changes, but not the other way around.

Describe the solution you'd like
Importing and exporting the file every time there is a change is impractical. Synchronizing the file periodically and/or each time the app/data is loaded/reloaded would be the simplest solution.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Just point to a file and check it periodically. Also, save changes to the file.

This would be great to have. This same auto-export upon change functionality exists for Fossify Notes with TXT files. I moved away from Fossify Calendar to a cloud-based calendar since the existing automatic backup system hadn't properly backed up all my events. The automatic ICS file export would solve this for me.

There your password-manager-file is hosted (optionally encrypted with a gpg key) on a git repository(that can be private). So you have to remind yourself to push/pull whenever you add a password from either your pc or phone; but it's extremely simple as a system, as well as secure.
