Toxicologist Alchemist feature Corrosive Venom doesn't work as described in-game #368

Description

@capashilli

The Toxicologist Alchemist starting feature "Corrosive Venom" has this in-game description:

Attacks you make ignore resistance and immunity to Poison damage.

This is a really cool-sounding feature that can help you be at ease when your focus is on such a commonly-resisted damage type. It's (probably) the adaptation of this bit of the original research field:

... you flexibly mix acidic and poisonous alchemical compounds. ... A creature takes acid damage instead of poison damage from such items if either the creature is immune to poison or that would be more detrimental to the creature (as determined by the GM).

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work as advertised. If you roll a brand-new toxicologist and walk into the first combat against the imps, their poison resistance 3 will apply to weapon attacks modified by the Field Vials: Poison Weapon ability.

Additionally, Quick Vial has its poison damage roll appended with (Ignores Resistance), but it too is affected by resistance.

The feature doesn't seem to do anything at all, unfortunately.
