The program no generate the file

Hi John, I hope I'm not bothering you.
Thanks for the program, unfortunately I can't use it. I follow all the steps you mentioned and the program doesn't generate the CSV file. When I try to hit the enter key, the program closes. Could you help me, thanks again.

Let's try a test...

Put the events2dolphin.exe and one of the scb files in a directory:

C:\Users\johns\Desktop\e2d>dir
 Volume in drive C has no label.
 
 Directory of C:\Users\johns\Desktop\e2d

Then run the program on just that one file:

I have run into problems in the past with special characters in swimmer's names causing problems (see #1), so it's possible you could be encountering something similar.

Hi Jonh, the problem still persists. And I don't know, if I don't know how to use the program. I paste the scb file and then click enter and the program closes immediately. Sorry again for the inconvenience, I think I'm a newbie in this program and I'm just learning how to use dolphin. Thanks.

I've attached an scb file that I know is valid. Give it a try and see if it works for you: E111.zip

• It's a zip file, so you'll need to unzip it first
• Then copy it into the events2dolphin directory
• Open a command prompt in that directory and run the program on just that file:

C:\> events2dolphin.exe E111.scb

You should get the following result:

Based on that screenshot, it looks like you are running the program, then trying to provide the SCB file(s).
Instead, you need to provide the SCB files to the program when you start it, so typing something like the following into the terminal:

events2dolphin.exe C:\Users\cdt40\OneDrive\Desktop\E111.scb

That help message in your screenshot is only printed when the program is run without providing SCB files.

I directly drag the SCB file from my desktop. Then I hit enter and that's when the program closes. Without generating the CSV file.
I don't know if I'm doing the process correctly. Or do I need to do something else?

Hi John,

I am hoping that you can help me. I am not really sure what I am doing wrong. My .scb files are creating fine as someone else has been able to generate a CSV with them. When I drag my .scbs over it doesn't create anything. I have tried this on 2 different computers with the same results. I have tried redownloading the program numerous times. I don't really know about using command prompts so I am at a complete loss. Attached is a screenshot of what comes up and then nothing happens.

Drag and drop the SCB files onto the events2dolphin.exe file as shown below. Don't run the program, just drop the files right on top.
