Module stack for the 2026.07.1 release

I am trying to run an LFRic-Apps suite on Monsoon with the latest release but the module list seems to need updating. Could you list the modules I need for GNU and CCE compilers please? (And update them on Monsoon accordingly please.)

Denis Sergeev (@dennissergeev) I believe you need to use /common/internal/spack/releases/2026.7.1/ngms to pick up latest software stack, but I am copying Sam Clarke-Green (@t00sa) for confirmation.

Thanks Yaswant Pradhan (@yaswant) for getting back to me but this is for the MO internal machine. Are these modules available on Monsoon3?

Yes, they are. Sam Clarke-Green (@t00sa) has a PR to update Apps configuration.

• For the CCE compiler:

                        module use /projects/metoff/spackadmin.mon/releases/2026.7.1/ngms
                        module switch PrgEnv-cray PrgEnv-cray/8.4.0
                        module load cpe/23.05
                        module switch cce cce/15.0.0
                        module load lfric-cray/15.0.0/3.2 || true

• For the GNU compiler:

                        module use /projects/metoff/spackadmin.mon/releases/2026.7.1/ngms
                        module switch cpe/22.11 cpe/23.05
                        module load PrgEnv-gnu
                        module load gcc/12.2.0
                        module load cray-mpich/8.1.27
                        module load lfric-gnu/12.2.0/3.2 || true
