Ancil read error (T = xios::CDuration)

I'm trying to initialise my workflow with an ancillary file but I'm getting the following error from XIOS:

In file "type_impl.hpp", function "void xios::CType<xios::CDuration>::_checkEmpty() const [T = xios::CDuration]",  line 210 -> Data is not initialized

Can anyone explain it to me please?

It was my mistake for not including the ancillary file definition in iodef.xml. I wish the error was more helpful though!
