I would be the first user of this feature that would allow to rename some activities in my calendars for accurate monthly/yearly stats.
We could have
- one time rename (rename all X events to Y to match a given activity)
- auto renaming (in case you have some others apps that add in your calendar some events, or in case you are sometimes lazy when you log thing)

The auto renaming half of this is arguably solved by matching rather than renaming: a contains/startsWith rule files every variant of a title under one category without touching the calendar. That's better than renaming — LifeTime is read-only by design, and the privacy claim depends on it staying that way.
The one-time rename half is genuinely different: it's for cleaning up your actual calendar so other tools see consistent titles too. That means write access, a permission LifeTime doesn't currently request, and it should stay a deliberate, separate decision rather than something that arrives with a category rule.
So if this stays, it's the write-to-calendar feature, not the categorisation one.
