From 6cdd46dda74a9bb5ca304f604a46237c944ac0fe Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Fredrik Liljegren (Claude Code Claude Fable 5)" Date: Wed, 2 Sep 2026 16:58:58 +0200 Subject: [PATCH 1/4] feat: diffity inbox watches review-requested PRs and prepares them ahead MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit A personal, local daemon: it polls the pull requests awaiting your review (default every 5 min), and for each one that is worth it — not a draft, not your own, not a bot's, and not filtered out by your own words — it cuts a worktree at the PR head, runs a diffity session over the diff, has the configured agent prepare a review with a walkthrough, and exports the result as a bundle. New commits make a prepared review stale and redo it; a merged, closed, or no-longer-requested PR is retired and its worktree reclaimed. Nothing is ever posted to the forge. `diffity inbox` runs the loop and a JSON server the surface reads; `diffity inbox --once` runs a single pass; `diffity inbox status` prints the queue. The forge, the preparer's subprocesses, and the clock are all injected, so the poll-reconcile-prepare logic is covered without gh. The 'never posts to GitHub' promise is now structural: the agent runs with the forge's credentials stripped from its environment, in its own diffity data directory (so a re-prepare can't inherit the last run's findings), and the default argv also denies the gh commands that reach a PR. The base is fetched as refs/heads/ so a same-named tag can't stand in, an empty base is refused, and the clone's origin must be the PR's repo. A timed-out agent's whole process group is killed; the daemon reclaims servers a crash left behind, arms its signal handlers before the first tick, and stops the in-flight preparation on shutdown. --once binds no port; a port clash is reported, not an uncaught throw. charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit The startup reclaim killed diffity servers a crash left behind, but it ran before the port bind that makes the daemon a singleton — so a second daemon, or an --once pass beside a running one, would kill the live daemon's in-flight server first. The port is now acquired before any reclaim, and --once reclaims nothing. The agent's environment loses its SSH keys and system git config as well as its gh tokens, so an SSH remote is no less deauthed than an HTTPS one; the README says plainly that this is the daemon's design, not a sandbox. A shutdown mid-drain starts no further preparations, and an inbox database from before the attempts column gains it on open.
