Description
When I start a streaming session with the resolution set to 2560x1440, the game image is cropped and does not fit the screen correctly, as shown in the attached screenshot.
I tested this with both Cyberpunk 2077 and Rocket League, and the same issue occurs in both games.
According to the Android diagnostics log captured during the affected session, the requested, returned, expected, and decoded stream resolutions are all reported as 2560x1440. The stream was also receiving and decoding at 60 FPS.
Despite this, the image displayed on the device is still cropped.
Additional testing
I also tried the following:
Toggling the "Fit to screen" option off and back on Toggling the streaming sharpness enhancement option off and back on Changing the Galaxy S24+ display resolution between QHD+ and FHD+
None of these changes fixed the issue.
The same cropping behavior occurs with both QHD+ and FHD+ device display settings.
However, I did not encounter this issue when using:
1920x1080 resolution 21:9 streaming resolutions
These resolutions display correctly without cropping.
I have attached a screenshot showing the issue, as well as the Android diagnostics log captured from the affected session.
