Udev service started but modules are not loaded. #967
|
I'm using LFS-based distro (I built it myself) and migrate from sysvinit to openrc. The system can boot properly but I notice a lot of modules aren't loaded (check it via lsmod). I have this problem before and it seems udev service is the culprit. I try to restart the service but no luck. Any clue?

Okay, tomorrow I'll try to rebuild eudev and see what happens. |

Alright, I found the culprit, udev seems not started at all (/sbin/udevd won't run in the background). When I execute /etc/rc.d/rcS.d/S10udev (sysvinit service), all modules are loaded properly. Strange. I don't know why that happen. |

Did you install an OpenRC-compatible init script for udev? You will probably want to take Gentoo's init script from here. |
