After PR 2261 Pinta's translations doesn't work

Description
After PR 2261 I see English instead of system locale.

To Reproduce
Build from master and run.

Additional Info
I guess in this case screenshots and files are not needed.

Version
Xubuntu 24.04, Pinta 42aa68a or last 17f3e58.

P.S. I found that with this change Pinta compiles faster. Or is this a false impression?

Thanks for the report! I'll need to do some testing on Linux - mostly had tested on macOS

Were there any errors in the console, and how are your language-related settings configured?

Thanks! I was a little surprised that I was the only one with the problem, but I forgot to check the terminal output :( I see

I didn't find libintl.so.8, liblibintl.so.8 or similar files in my system, but I also didn't find similar fils in https://packages.ubuntu.com/ and https://www.debian.org/distrib/packages (search packages by name & search packages by content). I found preloadable_libintl.so only.
Also I didn't find solution by the text of error.

Have you ideas?

Could you give #2277 a try? It worked for me in an Ubuntu VM, although I had some trouble setting up an automated unit test for it
