Why these strings are forced to lower case?

As far as I understand they are displayed in notification panel.

Here is the code I guess puts the Goal string(s) in lowercase in the Android Notification bar:

Probably because goal is of less importance in notification, so it would not distract attention.

In french, a sentence (even sentences of a single word) starts with a capital letter ... it's the rule I respect while translating, I find very surprising that the code can change the wanted display. On the same principle, it's like automatically adding a final 'point' to sentence ... I'm I'm not in favor of these changes performed by code.
What do you think?

Not sure it should be viewed as a sentence. It's just a bit of information placed in the notification and it doesn't end will a full stop.
