Issue with sending Quiet fan mode command to AC

Hi friends,

I own a new Gree enabled wifi AC.

The unit supports turning on Quiet mode with the IR remote and the official mobile app.

I added the AC to Home Assistant using the GreeClimateComponent HACS integration, but when I'm trying to use Home Assistant to send the Quiet fan mode command as part of an automation the command doesn't seem to be accepted by the AC, because the fan mode doesn't actually change.

Is there a way to solve this?

the integration component isn't working well with home assistant. The Gree brand upgrade their gateway or network bridge, the won't their gateway work with third party automation system.if not VRV , please ignore my comment.

Did you mean VRF?
My AC is an inverter wall-mounted air conditioner that isn't VRF.

Hello Devs,

After further investigation, it appears the Quiet command is sent to the AC, but there is still an issue.

My Gree enabled AC unit actually has two Quiet modes:

First Quiet mode is Auto Quiet.
When this mode is set, the AC cools the room in a higher and noisier speed until the actual room temperature reaches the desired room temperature, and then the AC automatically switches to quiet fan mode.
This mode is enabled by pressing the Quiet button on the IR remote once.
This mode is shown on the IR remote with the symbol: Auto + Headphones

The second Quiet mode I will call "Immediate Quiet".
When this mode is set, the AC disregards the current room temperature, and runs in quiet fan mode immediately.
This mode is enabled by pressing the Quiet button on the IR remote twice.
This mode is shown on the IR remote with the Headphones symbol without the Auto text.

Is there way to add the second Quiet functionality to the Gree integration?

The same issue. Quiet mode in HA isn't the same quiet mode fom IR remote control or App Gree. The fan runs faster and my air conditioning consumes x3 times more power - 600 vs 200 W

When I choose the HA Quiet mode, I see Quiet mode enabled also in the Gree+ app. I can only assume HA Quiet sets the AC to the first Auto Quiet mode I mentioned earlier, because the AC is not really quiet until the room temperature reaches the desired temperature, and then it becomes quiet.

Regarding the second Quiet mode (which I called Immediate Quiet), there is no representation in the Gree+ app or in HA when I enable this mode with the IR remote. So I'm not sure how to enable it with the Gree+ app or with HA.
