GNU Make for reproducible research / data analysis #6

Description

@danfulop

This can be part of another project and we should definitely incorporate it into our data analysis process for greater reproducibility and ease of update with new data. Below are three great resources for how to use Make for reproducible analysis and research. I'll let the authors of those posts explain the utility of Make for reproducible data analysis:

  • K. Broman's minimal Make tutorial: kbroman.org/minimal_make/
  • Zachary Jones' "GNU Make for Reproducible Data Analysis": zmjones.com/make/
  • Mike Bostock's "Why use Make": bost.ocks.org/mike/make/
