How can I use the PoolCommand method above? I have tried many times using the stored procedure below, but it still doesn't work

I am encountering the following error when calling ks_tsqlnew using the PoolCommand method, and I am unsure of what to do

there is an example here to run a stored proc - I dont support the mssql library, really i can only answer questions when using msnodesqlv8 on its own

The driver is (correctly) reporting an error in the SQL itself. The call is working, but the procedure is invalid. It's trying to set an integer¹ into a string output². The conversion cannot be performed implicitly. You could try using EXEC inside a regular SQL client³ and see that it doesn't work. You first need to correct the procedure, and then the call would work.
