Always time out when I'm login.

Hello,

I'm trying to use this code for get app details:

from steam.client import SteamClient
client = SteamClient()
client.anonymous_login() ## there always return me 48, The current CM can't service the user making a request, user should try another.
resp = client.get_product_info(apps=[570])
for appid, app_info in resp['apps'].items():
    print(app_info)

but always get the error:

So how can I fix this problem?

BTW: What does CM means?

I get the same when I try to login and get_product_info. My Client also stays offline.

Initialising Steam Client...
<SteamClient(None) offline> -> Here I print the client Object
Logging in with user...
<SteamClient(('155.133.226.75', 27028)) offline> -> Here I print the client Object after anonymous_login
Set Client to verbose_Debug True...
<SteamClient(('155.133.226.75', 27028)) offline> -> -> Here I print the client Object after verbose_debug True
and then when I try to do something like
client.get_product_info(apps=[570])
I get an timeout too.

This also happens when using client.login("USER", "PASS")

I'm having issues to connect as well since about 12 hours, like requiring 10 retries each time. But it was working fine before.

Do you guys started having issues also today, or was it earlier?

I have been experiencing these issues since the night from Thursday (10.10.24) to Friday (11.10.24) at around 3 a.m. (CEST).

This is about the time it started for me too, although I think it started a little bit earlier. From what I see in the logs, it started around 2024-10-10 23:30:12 CEST.

This seems plausible. Around the same time, Steam’s Connection Managers went down for maintenance (according to SteamDB), and stability is still an issue. xPaw from SteamDB mentioned that TCP/UDP support was officially dropped quite some time ago, but it continued to work until recently. It seems like the right moment for one of the maintainers to implement WebSocket support, and there’s already a PR in progress for this.

The Steam Connection Manager is making problems, yes. But when connecting with WebSocket instead of TCP it works way better.
