Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I always test every version of my game on steam linux runtime.
Recently, I found my IME (fcitx5) couldn't input anything on latest linux runtime, unless I inactive it.
Not sure if this is a wayland only issue, but it's not happened on the oldder linux runtime

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Run Steam (Runtime) on ArchLinux Wayland
2. Launch Teeworlds: Archive (It's on Steam)
3. Active a input box and try to input something through IME

@slouken, could this be a recent regression in SDL3?

Teeworlds: Archive appears to be a SLR_sniper game, so it would have SDL 3.4.10 (and sdl2-compat 2.32.70 if that's relevant).

fcitx5 is mostly used for Chinese and Japanese, and according to the attached diagnostics this system is using Chinese (specifically zh_CN.UTF-8).

The issue report doesn't mention which Wayland compositor, but from the attached diagnostics it seems to be KDE Plasma Desktop.

What are the exact steps/workarounds you used? Just running the game's executable directly, without going via Steam?

It looks like SDL talks to fcitx using D-Bus messages, without actually loading any fcitx libraries or even including any fcitx header files. It's enabled if $SDL_IM_MODULE is set to fcitx, or if $SDL_IM_MODULE is unset and XMODIFIERS contains @im=fcitx.

I just compile a native library version without going via Steam Linux Runtime SDK
