defualt change files - can we gitignore them

Its annoying to work in git when the second you open a branch, it automatically makes your version different from the branch just opened by creating a change in these files in screenshot

Ah yes! This is a result of bad practice at work - they commit compiled front end files to repos as only the front end devs have the front end build stuff set up and no build server. (yes this is totally a dig at my work ;) )

you'll have to untrack them, from inside the react-app repo run each of these:
git rm --cached dist/app.js
git rm --cached dist/app.css
git rm --cached dist/hi.html
git rm --cached dist/index.html

there may be a way to run them all at once but I have been too lazy to google it.

ALSO - I have a feeling that when you pull the index.html file inside dist might disappear, just in case I'll pop it in here

Curiously github won't let me upload .html files, so if you need it, rename it to .html

Also probably a good idea to turn docker off while you're doing this bit
