How to enable extension on Linux

Since enabling the extension involves the root filesystem, I haven't found out how to do it. It would be really helpful if I get help with this. As of right now, I'm getting the error messages I'm supposed to get.

I don't have Linux now to test, but something like this might help you:

sudo chown -R $(whoami) /usr/share/code

On Arch, the path should be:

/opt/visual-studio-code

I used this command to change the users and groups of the folder so that the vscode could modify the files in it

sudo chown user:group /opt/visual-studio-code -R

and remember to restore it
