I have run the first "bowl" example in ubuntu 16.04 i7-8700K and i have got the following result.
From the result, I can see that it needs more than a second to locate the bowl, which is really far from the 0.59s as mentioned in the paper.
I would like to know if you think my number is reasonable. Thanks.
