Windows roadmap for pip install daily-python

Hi everybody,

It’s 2026, and the Python SDK still does not appear to support Windows. We noticed some recent commits introducing Windows-specific changes, so we were wondering whether native Windows support is now on the roadmap.

Are there any plans or an estimated timeline for providing official Windows support for daily-python?

Hi! Yes! I made some progress on the Windows front but still not there. The progress was needed for https://github.com/daily-co/daily-core-sdk which uses the same underlying (not open sourced) library. So, daily-python is much closer now. I can't give you an exact day but I would hope in the next month or two.
