A failed native release stalls the desktop updater channel invisibly (drift is suppressed in the shell by design). A red build leg holds back ONLY the updater manifest — the release and the Homebrew cask still ship for whichever platform built, so clients stay on the last promoted version until this is fixed.

Repair: fix the cause, then re-run via workflow_dispatch (idempotent; native-v* assets are write-once, so an already-published asset keeps its bytes; pass force_promote to bypass the channel throttle if needed). If publish or promote reported an orphaned/mispaired updater asset, delete that leg's published assets first (gh release delete-asset) — write-once cannot heal a split (tar.gz, .sig) pair.
