crypte/decrypte issues just on io 6

first i want to thank you for charing this lib.
I use FBEncryptor in one of my projects and it work fine but when i test in ios 6 the decrypt function always return "0" ( all good statue ), if i put the good password, the data returned after decrypt is good to, but with a wrong password, data is not nil and statue is "0".
I don't know if the wifi problem in ios 6 is the same as mine, because if users change on router to WPA2 TKIP from AES it work fine.

is this an issue in ios 6 or i can do something to test the file 'validity' after decrypt ?

@Red-Mak @dev5tec We're experiencing the same issue. Here's exactly what is happening:

1. Encrypt data with a keyword - works perfectly
2. Decrypt data with same keyword - works perfectly
3. Decrypt data with wrong keyword - decryption does not return a value, however CommonCrypto returns no error message. It does not return nil or null as one would expect, instead the decrypted data returns some kind of weird spacing.

We expect this issue is due to encoding of data before encryption... however it could be anything. Is there anyway to check if the keyword is right? What's going on here?

hi, i check this but i don't find any solution, and FBEncryptor is not up to date.
i recommend you to use RNCryptor : https://github.com/rnapier/RNCryptor, i use it on my ios >=5 and mac os apps and it's work like a charm.

@Red-Mak I just added it to my project, but I can't decode the returned data. What encoding does the data use? Do you know? When I try the code below, cipherText returns null:

i'm not sure what you are doing in this code (you are not decrypting the encrypted data),
this will work for you :

     NSData *data = [@"content" dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding];
     NSError *error;
     NSData *encryptedData = [RNEncryptor encryptData:data
                                    withSettings:kRNCryptorAES256Settings
                                        password:@"password"
                                           error:&error];    

    NSData *decryptedData = [RNDecryptor decryptData:encryptedData withSettings:(kRNCryptorAES256Settings)    password:@"password" error:&error];

    NSLog(@"str = %@",[[NSString alloc]initWithData:decryptedData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]);
