Is it just me or does the counter not go below 1hz resolution, I'm trying to measure audio frequencies and for 27.5 (low A) it gives me 27 or 28. Is it capable of reading 27.5 hz

The code works by counting cycles, so the result is always an integer. The example script counts cycles over 1000 ms, which is only 27 or 28 for a low E. If you increase the counting period to 10000 ms (10 s), then divide the result by 10, you can get 0.1 Hz resolution. But it will take 10 s to get a reading.

That's good, I will give it a go, 10sec is ok for the lower notes, I only need to sample 8 notes across the octaves. Thanks for the reply.
