Batch Processing Guide

Process multiple videos and languages at scale.

← Back to README

Overview

DubRelay's batch processing features let you localize multiple videos and generate multiple language versions from a single workflow. This is designed for teams that need to process content at scale — not one video at a time.

Multi-Language Batch

What It Does

When you select multiple target languages for a single video, DubRelay creates an independent job for each language, all grouped into one batch:

  • One source video → 18+ language versions
  • Each language version is processed independently (failure in one doesn't affect others)
  • Progress is aggregated and displayed as an average across all languages
  • The batch appears in your task list with a "Multi-Language" tag

How to Use

  1. Upload your video or paste a URL
  2. In the target language selector, choose multiple languages (tag-style multi-select)
  3. Configure voice settings (applies to all languages in the batch)
  4. Click "Start"
  5. Monitor progress in the task list — the "Languages" column shows all target languages with the current one highlighted

Tracking Progress

  • The task list shows a "Multi-Language" tag for batch jobs
  • The Languages column displays all target languages in the batch
  • The current processing language is highlighted
  • Progress percentage is an average across all language versions
  • You can click into any language version to see details

Multi-File Upload

What It Does

Upload multiple video files at once and process them with the same settings:

  • Drag and drop multiple files onto the upload area
  • All files use the same target language, voice mode, and settings
  • Each file becomes an independent job
  • Track all jobs in the task list

How to Use

  1. Drag multiple video files onto the upload area (or click to select multiple)
  2. Configure your settings (language, voice, subtitles)
  3. Click "Start"
  4. All files are queued and processed sequentially or in parallel (depending on your plan)

URL Import

What It Does

Import videos from URLs instead of uploading files:

  • YouTube: Paste a YouTube URL
  • Google Drive: Paste a shared Drive link
  • Direct links: Any publicly accessible video URL

How to Use

  1. Click the "URL Import" tab in the upload area
  2. Paste your video URL
  3. Configure settings and click "Start"

Google Drive Integration

What It Does

Connect your Google Drive account to import videos directly:

  1. Click the "Google Drive" tab
  2. Authorize DubRelay to access your Drive
  3. Browse and select videos from your Drive
  4. Files are imported and processed like regular uploads

Best Practices for Batch Processing

Practice Benefit
Use the same voice across all languages Consistent brand voice across markets
Set up Brand Kit before batching Terminology rules apply automatically to all jobs
Process during off-peak hours Faster processing when server load is lower
Monitor the first job in a batch If the first job has issues, cancel the batch to save quota
Use review mode for the first few batches Catch systematic issues early

Quota Management

  • Each language version in a multi-language batch consumes quota independently
  • Failed jobs don't consume quota — only successfully completed jobs count
  • Voice cloning and lip sync multipliers apply per language version
  • Check your remaining quota in Settings → Usage & Billing

Example: Multi-Language Batch Quota

If you process a 5-minute video into 5 languages with voice cloning (Pro plan, 2x multiplier):

  • Per language: 5 min × 2 = 10 minutes quota
  • Total: 10 min × 5 languages = 50 minutes quota
  • If 2 languages fail, only 30 minutes are consumed

Priority Queue

Pro and Business plan users get priority processing:

Plan Priority
Free Standard (processed in order)
Starter Standard
Pro Priority (processed before Free/Starter)
Business Highest priority
