Hi everyone β the next major version of Codux is currently being rebuilt.
This is more than a visual refresh or another round of incremental features. We are reworking both the core architecture and the overall experience, with a focus on the following areas.
The new generation of Codux will also launch under an entirely new codename, which we will reveal as development progresses.

Unified terminals and sessions, built for parallel work
The new version will bring terminals and AI sessions into one cohesive workflow instead of treating them as separate features. Both regular terminals and AI sessions will be designed around parallel tasks, live status tracking, and fast switching β making it easier to work across multiple projects, worktrees, and agents at the same time.
Connectivity as a foundation
Connections between desktop, mobile, and remote hosts will no longer be an add-on. They are becoming a foundational part of Codux. Our goal is to let you view, take over, and continue work consistently no matter where a task is running, so projects, terminals, and sessions can move naturally across devices.
The rebuild is still in progress, and many details are open to change. If you use Codux, we would love to hear from you:
- What is the most important problem the new version should solve?
- Which performance, terminal, or session issue affects you most today?
