The RST test runner currently copies and builds one RST file per test. This prevents testing cross-document behaviour such as needextend targeting a need in another document.
Possible approach: support a test-case directory containing an index.rst and related RST files, copy the directory into the temporary Sphinx project, and validate warnings per source file. Keep the current single-file cases working.
