Reorganize Sync settings clutter and enhance visual feedback across the app #7

Description

@carochacs

With the recent addition of Syncing functionality, the settings interface has become overcrowded. Having all options presented at the same level creates high cognitive load and makes primary tasks harder to navigate.

Additionally, across the wider application, there is a lack of responsive visual feedback when background processes or status changes occur, leaving users uncertain about the state of their actions.

Proposed Solution

1. Pop-out window for Sync: Syncing is its own, gigantic feature. When syncing, it should be the main focus.

  1. Declutter and Restructure Sync Options
    Progressive Disclosure
    : Hide advanced configuration under an "Advanced Settings" toggle or expandable accordion so the primary Sync screen remains clean. (Sensible Defaults) Highlight recommended preset configurations for standard users to reduce decision fatigue.

  2. General Grouping & Hierarchy: Logical grouping of related options using visual cards or distinct sections.

    4. Improve Visual Feedback Across the Application: Add explicit visual indicators (e.g., status badges, progress bars, subtle spinner animations) for active, queued, successful, or failed events. These should be clearly visible. (Action confirmations) Implement toast notifications or inline success/error banners for user-initiated actions. Ensure interactive elements provide clear hover, active, disabled, and focus states.
