When I first opened the app (using LEGO), I discarded it because I missed the key features.
That was due to three reasons
- I missed the "material design" aspect (do not see that often in Windows), so I simply didn't realize that "enter interactive mode" icon was there and that I could click it.
- The REPL was nice, but there is no plain .py file to open and run, and REPL is not enough so I quit the app.
- I missed the fact that I could right click on a directory and select new or example
May I suggest
- that the right hand side start screen gives these hints:
- double click any .py file to open and run it
- right click any directory to create a .py file
- click the "enter interactive mode" icon for REPL
- maybe add a material design [+] button on the right hand side start screen to select and example.
- maybe add a button row (like arduino) with few buttons [new] [repl] [download] [run]
For example
