Add on blurred out/not working

So whenever I click on the tools button it shows me the dictionary add on, but in a dull "you can't touch this" color while also displaying the message "Can always read and change data for this site". This has been the same for the several dozen sites I've tested it on.
It is also not giving me the option to use the dictionary when I double click on words.

I noticed this too yesterday in Firefox.

The problem manifested like this:
The extension is active, but in the list of my current extensions in the active browser window toolbar list it appears greyed-out & when double-clicking a word the definition pop-up appears with a message saying "no definition found" (or something to that effect)
I tied multiple websites (that i regularly visit), but it was the same issue. I began to wonder if some permission in the browser was blocking the extension from working.

This happened in a new install of Firefox. I had activated my FF account & the various extensions were automatically added.

Some time later, I re-started Firefox, disabled the extension & re-enabled it. Then it functioned as expected.
The extension still remains greyed-out in the browser toolbar list, you cant mouse over it like you can with other extensions, but it seems to function - perhaps it was always greyed-out?
I loaded up another distro & yes, its greyed out there too, but functions fine.

So I expect this issue was just due to a freshly synced browser not behaving perfectly.

Nope! I take that back. There IS a problem. Today I cant get any definitions again.

Same here. Dictionary-Anywhere 1.2.0 on FF 145.0.2 Win 11.
