Windows Defender Flagging Recomp

When testing many builds even some of the official builds are flagged by window defender to do a scan which can effect game booting.

If you can reproduce, that'd help.

I can't say I'm entirely surprised though. If I had to guess, it has to do with either the embedded tcc compiler OR the shipped native shards.

Long story short; not all code can be discovered at rest and may exist in code "installed at runtime" known as overlays. When these are discovered, they're shipped as small native shards, often as dll for Windows. Windows sometimes gets suspect of these. Known issue that plagues Battleship (the Smash Bros 64 decomp) too. PSXRecomp has a similar mechanism that also false positives.

If it's the shards themselves, technically you can just play the game without them. They'll just regenerate during gameplay and cause some hitches on first encounter.
