We decided not to use LDAP for auth (unlike Olinapps), but scraping Olin's LDAP server could still allow for populating the "people" database with at least names/emails without having to enter everyone manually.
If the people database had a full list of Olin community members and emails at all times (rather than a partial one curated by hand), could it be used for authentication to check who is in the community as well?
