Persistently set direction

I have an EN-NL dictionary that I generally want to consult in the NL-EN direction. But it seems like every time I look up a word (by sharing it from my ebook reader app) it resets to EN-NL and I have to press the switch direction button again.

I don't know if there's no way of doing it (in which case this is a feature request) or if I'm just not finding it in the settings and documentation.

ETA: it seems that if I start the app from the normal launcher then the direction persists, but if I open it by "sharing" a word with it, it resets. This might be a bug rather than a feature request.

When sharing, it is supposed to look up the word both ways and pick the one where it finds a hit. Not sure, but by a quick check it seem this might be just broken, and in addition not reliable since some Dutch words seem to appear in the English word list.

The issue is actually due to having a default dictionary set. If no default dictionary is set and the preferred one is on the top of the list it should work. I will fix this bug sometimes soon.

Newest release has the fix, close if you think this "automatic" solution works and is good enough

I was about to open a new issue but this one seems related.

I think the fix introduced a crash related to the selection of the default dictionary.

After updating to version 5.8.5, QuickDic kept crashing immediately when launched via shared text.

Clearing the app's cache didn't help.

No crash when launching its main activity via system launcher.

I removed and re-downloaded currently installed dictionaries.

Still crashing upon sharing text.

Clearing the app's data did allow me to launch QuickDic by sharing text again.

However, this resulted in the app always presenting the dictionary list when launched by its main activity via system launcher.

At some point I noticed a toast message instructing me to "choose a default dictionary".

Doing so of course prevents the app from automatically choosing / finding a word's language.

Trying to choose None as the Default Dictionary in the settings results in a crash.
