App no longer opens

App opened shows me the changes the update made.

Then crashes, force close app in the background then reopened and the app just crashes.

Letme know if any more information is needed, happy to help and test.

I would need to see app logs.

If you use a log reader app then you can skip the use of ADB and just use your log reader app to get the logs. If not follow the steps below.

How to collect logs for this app

1. Connect your Android phone to your computer with a USB cable.
2. Make sure USB debugging is enabled on your phone.
3. Open a command prompt/terminal on your computer.
4. Run:

adb logcat --pid=$(adb shell pidof com.fpf.smartscan) *:E > smartscan_errors.txt

6. Open the app and reproduce the error.
7. Wait a few seconds after the error happens.
8. Press Ctrl + C in the terminal to stop collecting logs.

Send me the smartscan_log, you can attach it here or send to my email (see profile) if that's better for you.

In the meantime try downgrading to the previous version and see if the app still works. If you have a backup, clear storage and import backup in settings.
