I'm TheLinuxGuy — a solo founder and freelance full-stack developer with 6+ years of building things, and open source is where most of my real passion projects live.

The flagship is SkillHive — an ambient co-presence platform for developers, built on the idea that you shouldn't need a feed, a follower count, or a notification to feel like you're working alongside people. It's fully open source (AGPLv3), self-hosted end to end on my own hardware, and completely free — no paid tiers, no ads, no analytics.

Alongside it: DarwinX, a browser-based macOS simulator that placed top 5 worldwide at Hack Club's Summer of Code, HyprFect, my Hyprland dotfiles setup, and a handful of smaller tools I keep building because I actually use them myself.

Here's the honest reason sponsorship matters to me: SkillHive runs on servers I pay for out of pocket, and it stays free because I'd rather absorb that cost than put the platform behind a paywall. Freelancing pays the bills, but every hour on client work is an hour not spent shipping features or fixing bugs on the projects I actually care about. Sponsorship would let me shift more of my real time toward the software I'm building and giving away — not just keep it alive on nights and weekends.
