I build open-source data infrastructure in Rust with Python bindings:
- lexindex: compact, immutable string ↔ id indexes for huge
catalogs. 1.26 bytes per key where a trie needs 3, and blobs you memory-map instead of rebuilding on
every process start. On PyPI and crates.io, about 11 000 downloads a month. - betula-cluster: fast, numerically stable
BETULA/BIRCH-style clustering for large vector datasets, with a Rust core. Pairs with lexindex
(string ids ↔ cluster ids) and stands on its own.
Sponsorship funds what keeps libraries like these dependable:
- compatibility across Rust and Python releases: abi3 wheels, MSRV, 32-bit and wasm targets;
- the benchmark suites behind every number in the READMEs, re-measured on every release;
- security hardening: every parser fuzzed weekly, safe loading of untrusted blobs;
- performance work at hundreds of millions of keys and rows.
Using one of them in production? A corporate sponsorship also tells me which workloads to
measure next.

Memory-bounded clustering for large embeddings and tabular streams: BETULA cluster features in a Rust core, then k-means / GMM / Ward / spectral / Leiden / HDBSCAN on the compressed summary. Stream…
