Punctuation in writing tasks

When I rewrite the sentence and put a full stop, it is correct but in the feedback I see two full stops (looks confusing)
E.g. Rewrite the sentence using the word in brackets: 'Modern businesses are preoccupied with direct digital marketing strategies'. (SEEM)

The correct answer is: Modern businesses seem to be preoccupied with direct digital marketing strategies..
