This is an example of using the WebService provided by the Greek General Secretariat of Information Systems.
As soon as the WebService anounced to public, many individuals requested a RESTFul interface for accessing this service.

This project is a RESTFul proxy to the aforementioned web service.
The implementation is based on the the following technologies/frameworks:
- JAX-WS RI is used to call the WSNP WebService of GSIS for a particular VAT id and retrieve its details. (http://jax-ws.java.net/)
- JAXB annotations are used in order to create the representation of the data entities involved in the aforementioned service calls (SOAP Request/ Response). (http://jaxb.java.net/)
- Jersey/JAX-RS framework is used to generate the REST Service Enpoints and for transforming JAXB entities to JSON representations. (http://jersey.java.net/)

Usage:

The compiled code (war package) can be deployed on any Servlet Container (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Servlet_containers). Below you can see usage examples:

- http://host:port/WsNpProxy/afm/version returns the version of the GSIS Service
i.e. An HTTP GET Request to http://www.example.com:8080/WsNpProxy/afm/version will return:
	Version: 0.2, 04/11/2011, Copyright: GSIS 2011.

- http://host:port/WsNpProxy/afm/{afm} returns a json object holding the information of the afm {afm}
i.e. An HTTP GET Request to http://www.example.com:8080/WsNpProxy/afm/093683423 will return:
