Merge automation (Prow / Tide)

This repository is onboarded onto OpenShift CI (Prow). Configuration lives in openshift/release under core-services/prow/02_config/Azure/ARO-Tools/.

Merges are handled by Prow's Tide component, not by pressing the GitHub merge button. A PR merges once it has both labels:

  • lgtm — added when a reviewer comments /lgtm.
  • approved — added when an OWNERS approver comments /approve.

Approvers and reviewers are defined in OWNERS. Use /hold to block a merge and /hold cancel to release it. Comment /retest to re-run failed checks.

Note: only merge commits are allowed on main (squash and rebase merges are disabled), matching Azure/ARO-HCP's repo settings.

Contributing

This project welcomes contributions and suggestions. Most contributions require you to agree to a Contributor License Agreement (CLA) declaring that you have the right to, and actually do, grant us the rights to use your contribution. For details, visit https://cla.opensource.microsoft.com.

When you submit a pull request, a CLA bot will automatically determine whether you need to provide a CLA and decorate the PR appropriately (e.g., status check, comment). Simply follow the instructions provided by the bot. You will only need to do this once across all repos using our CLA.
