##Coursera Data Courses Market Analysis Dashboard

##Project Overview

The online learning industry has experienced rapid growth, making it increasingly important for education providers, learning platforms, and aspiring learners to understand market demand, course popularity, provider performance, and learner preferences.

This project analyzes Data Analytics-related courses available on Coursera to identify the most popular courses, leading providers, learner engagement patterns, course ratings, and duration preferences. The objective is to transform raw course data into meaningful business intelligence that can support strategic decisions for educational providers and stakeholders.

The final solution is an interactive Power BI dashboard that provides a comprehensive view of the Coursera Data Analytics course landscape.

##Business Problem

With hundreds of data-related courses available online, it can be difficult to determine:

*Which courses attract the highest learner interest. *Which providers dominate the Data Analytics learning market. *Whether learners prefer beginner, intermediate, or advanced courses. *Which course durations generate the highest engagement. *Which courses maintain the highest learner satisfaction ratings. *How providers position themselves within the market.

Without data-driven insights, educational providers risk creating courses that fail to meet learner demand and market expectations.

###Project Objectives

This project was designed to answer the following business questions:

##Market & Provider Analysis

Which course providers dominate the Data Analytics learning market? How many Data Analytics courses does each provider offer? Which provider attracts the largest learner audience? Learner Engagement Analysis Which courses receive the highest number of learner reviews? What skill level is most represented among available courses? Which course duration attracts the greatest learner engagement? Course Performance Analysis Which courses achieve the highest ratings? Is popularity correlated with course difficulty level? Which courses consistently perform well across ratings and reviews?

##Data Collection Process

The dataset was collected directly from Coursera using web scraping techniques.

##Data Source

Coursera Website Data Acquisition Tool Octoparse Web Scraping Software

The scraping process extracted course-related information including:

*Course Name *Course Provider *Course Rating *Number of Reviews *Course Difficulty Level *Course Duration *Tools & Technologies Used *Tool Purpose *Octoparse Web Scraping & Data Extraction *Microsoft Excel Initial Data Inspection *Power Query Data Cleaning & Transformation *Power BI Dashboard Development & Visualization *DAX KPI Calculations and Metrics

##Data Preparation

The dataset underwent several preprocessing steps before analysis:

##Data Cleaning

Removed unnecessary fields Standardized provider names Checked for duplicate records Validated review counts Verified rating consistency Standardized difficulty levels Standardized duration categories Data Transformation Created duration categories Aggregated provider statistics Calculated review-based popularity metrics Generated KPI measures using DAX

##Dashboard KPIs

The dashboard provides high-level performance indicators:

##KPI Value

*Total Courses 19 *Total Reviews 734K *Total Providers 8 *Beginner Courses 15 *Intermediate Courses 3 *Advanced Courses 1

##Analysis & Key Findings

  1. Course Difficulty

The Data Analytics learning market is heavily concentrated at the beginner level.

##Findings:

*Beginner Courses: 15 *Intermediate Courses: 3 *Advanced Courses: 1

##Insight

The overwhelming majority of courses target entry-level learners, indicating that providers are focusing on capturing new entrants into the Data Analytics field.

##Business Implication

Educational providers can capitalize on the growing demand for beginner-friendly learning paths, while advanced-level offerings remain an underdeveloped market segment.
