This is a PR that addresses the issue I opened about the httpx dependency being unmaintained. I've updated library imports to use httpx2 instead of httpx and updated tests and uv.lock as needed. Updated test mocks to target the httpx2 API and replaced the old pytest-httpx dependency with a local compatibility fixture.
