- Drop the cc-hive marketplace entry (never implemented) and the now-empty plugin marketplace manifest
- Remove devcontainer-features/, devcontainer-templates/, the GHCR publish workflow, and the related CI lint/test jobs
- Remove the cc-devcontainer plugin and its install.sh/README plumbing
- Salvage detect-auth.sh to scripts/ as a standalone credential detector (building block for future VM setup) and add it to CI checks
- Keep the repo's own .devcontainer/ for engineering; note that container-based testing runs in CI or on a Docker-capable host
