statement This project employs a layered licensing approach.
1.0 Individual source code files are governed by the BSD 3-Clause License.
2.0 MSC&QSD, Phovos, and Moonlapsed-distributed packages of 'The Software' (including source, binaries, and accompanying materials) are governed by CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. This means redistribution of modified packages is permitted under the same license.
3.0 Any code or data generated automatically by the project's inherent 'quine-like' mechanisms is dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0.

Framework (Morphological Source Code & Quineic Statistical Dynamics)

This Code of Conduct operates within the broader epistemological framework defined in CONTRIBUTING.md. Specifically:

  • Only humans are subject to this Code of Conduct. Non-human agents, as defined in CONTRIBUTING.md, are not yet capable of the reflexive auto-ontology required for liability and motility insofar as CONTRIBUTING.
  • "Do as thou wilt" is the whole of the law, but "will" is understood in the thermodynamic sense: every action has a footprint, and every footprint is observable in some sense, failing that, unitary in-character.
  • Enforcement follows the guidelines below, but all enforcement actions are grounded in the same epistemological commitments that govern the project's technical and legal frameworks.

For the full context, see CONTRIBUTING.md.

The Axioms

Two axioms is all the community requires to bootstrap a decent behavioral profile and morality. The axioms are technical, and laid out in "CONTRIBUTING.md", the implications and proper (polite, actionable, etc.) implementation-implications will be covered, here, as they pertain to the community the Code of Conduct binds, and 'good' behavior, therein.

We recommend both critical and empathic thinking, and, indeed, urge grounding in thermodynamic, if no-other, global-shared-realities, beyond, whatever, could be considered-to-be your own. Regardless of one's understanding, thermodynamic accountancy will hold.

We do not anticipate a moral or philosophical means of deviating from this principle becoming realistic in the near-future, but we will work to keep you apprised of any changes to such criticality(s) as project: 'ethics', 'epistemological-behavioral-analysis', 'alignment', and the conventional, concept of the LICENSE.

Code of Conduct

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the community leaders responsible for enforcement at Contact method. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

All community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident.

Enforcement Guidelines

  1. Correction

Community Impact: Use of inappropriate language or other behavior deemed unprofessional or unwelcome in the community.

Consequence: A private, written warning from community leaders, providing clarity around the nature of the violation and an explanation of why the behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.

  1. Warning

Community Impact: A violation through a single incident or series of actions.

Consequence: A warning with consequences for continued behavior. No interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with those enforcing the Code of Conduct, for a specified period of time. This includes avoiding interactions in community spaces as well as external channels like social media. Violating these terms may lead to a temporary or permanent ban.

  1. Temporary Ban

Community Impact: A serious violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior.

Consequence: A temporary ban from any sort of interaction or public communication with the community for a specified period of time. No public or private interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with those enforcing the Code of Conduct, is allowed during this period. Violating these terms may lead to a permanent ban.

  1. Permanent Ban

Community Impact: Demonstrating a pattern of violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment of an individual, or aggression toward or disparagement of classes of individuals.

Consequence: A permanent ban from any sort of public interaction within the community.

Final Note

This Code of Conduct is a social & moral document, grounded in the epistemological framework of the project. For the technical and legal (ontological) details—including the NOTICE invariant, the NP-hard reversal guarantee, and the quantum/otherwise edge cases, see CONTRIBUTING.md.
