ISO 3166-1, Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions – Part 1: Country codes

ISO 3166-2, Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions – Part 2: Country subdivision code, defines codes for the names of the principal subdivisions (e.g., provinces, states, departments, regions) of all countries coded in ISO 3166-1.

ISO 3166-3, Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions – Part 3: Code for formerly used names of countries, defines codes for country names which have been deleted from ISO 3166-1 since its first publication in 1974.

ISO 4217 is a standard published by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that defines alpha codes and numeric codes for the representation of currencies and provides information about the relationships between individual currencies and their minor units. This data is published in three tables:

ISO 10962, generally known as CFI (Classification of Financial Instruments) is a six-letters-code used in the financial and banking industries, to describe the structure and function of each financial instrument (in the form of security or contract). It is an international standard approved by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Since 1 July 2017, each financial instrument should receive a CFI at the same time it is allocated an ISIN (International Security Identification Number).

ISO 20022 is an ISO standard for electronic data interchange between financial institutions. It describes a metadata repository containing descriptions of messages and business processes, and a maintenance process for the repository content. The standard covers financial information transferred between financial institutions that includes payment transactions, securities trading and settlement information, credit and debit card transactions and other financial information.

ISO 8583 is an international standard for financial transaction card originated interchange messaging.
