Native installs 2.2.0–2.4.1: reinstall once to get updates again #354

Description

@elkaix

If you installed Pythinker Code with the native installer (install.sh / install.ps1) and run version 2.2.0 through 2.4.1, pythinker update cannot download new versions. The updater in those versions looks for the binary at an address that does not exist.

The fix is released in 2.5.0. Reinstall once to get it. The installer now installs 2.5.1 or later.

Your settings and sessions stay in place.

macOS / Linux:

curl -fsSL https://code.pythinker.com/pythinker-code/install.sh | bash

Windows (PowerShell):

irm https://code.pythinker.com/pythinker-code/install.ps1 | iex

After that, pythinker update works again.

Not affected:

  • npm installs (npm i -g @pymodel/pythinker-code)
  • Homebrew installs
  • native installs on 2.1.0 or earlier. These update normally.

Fixed in 2.5.0 (#355).
