  The following code is now invalid, because a parameter typed () => void accepts an async callback and schedule therefore returns string:

Holding this one. It bundles two major upgrades: TypeScript 5.7 to 7.0 and Biome 1 to 2.

Biome 2 changes its configuration format and rule set, and a TypeScript major will surface new errors across the monorepo. Neither is a merge; both are migrations that want their own branch and a full green gate.

Not urgent — the current toolchain is not a security surface.
