JPEG2000 files sometimes failed to be decoded with error "function signature mismatch"

There are some DICOM files encoded in transfer syntax "1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.90" JPEG2000 images, some images always failing with error "function signature mismatch".
This issue already opened in cornerstone cornerstonejs/cornerstoneWADOImageLoader#400.

The only meaningful change I made is in the CMakeLists.txt. So, if you take the changes only from this file and skip the others, it should work with you.
The issue really solved by enabling this compilation option EMULATE_FUNCTION_POINTER_CASTS=1. You can read the details about it by Web search.

I found some data that might be helpful.
I opened the DICOM images (DICOM files) and changed the tiling setting to a single tile instead of the default.
The images now open correctly in Cornerstone without any issues.
However, I didn't really want to proceed this way;
there must be a specific reason for the tiling in the first place.
I would have preferred for the codec itself to read and display the image correctly without me having to modify the file.
I’m mentioning this just in case it helps.
