gator

multi-user cli application.

requirements

ensure the following are installed

postgres 15+
go 1.24+

install gator cli using

go install https://github.com/devKiratu/gator

set up a config file ~/.gatorconfig.json with the following fields:

}

available commands

after installation, you can run any command with gator <command> <options>

    login (logs in a user. must be a registered user): gator login tom
    register(registers a user) : gator register tom
    reset(resets the users table by deleting all records): gator reset   ,
    users(lists all registered users, highlighting the current user):    gator users,
    agg(starts a long running task for fetching and saving posts. supply interval as option): gator agg 5s,
    addfeed(adds a feed to db. supply feed name and url):  gator addfeed "Hacker news" "http...",
    feeds(lists feeds stored in db):    gator feeds,
    follow(adds supplied feed url to feeds current user follows): gator follow "https....",
    following(lists feeds current user is following): gator following,
    unfollow(unfollows a feed for current user. supply feed url): gator unfollow "https.....",
    browse(lists titles of saved posts. supply limit. default 2): gator browse 10
